What we process. When you ask a question, the text of your question is sent to our server and passed to our AI provider to produce an answer. We store in our database: the text of your question, the language, the length of the answer, the response time, and a random session identifier. We do not store the text of the answers on our server.

A random session identifier is kept in your browser's local storage. It is not linked to your name or email and is created the first time you open the app.

Your conversation history is kept in your browser's local storage only. It never reaches our server.

Voice input: speech recognition is performed by your browser, not by us. In Chrome and Edge the audio is sent to Google's speech service under Google's own terms. We never receive or store the audio. If you prefer not to use it, type your question instead.

Voice output: the text of the answer is sent to our AI provider to generate audio. The audio is played in your browser and is not stored.

Account data: only if you sign in to the administration area — your email address and display name.

Who processes data for us. Lovable (hosting and AI gateway), Google (language model; and speech recognition inside Chrome and Edge), OpenAI (speech synthesis), Supabase (database), Meta Platforms Ireland Limited (analytics pixel, only with your consent). Some of these operate outside the European Union; such transfers rely on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

Legal basis. Our legitimate interest in operating, improving and securing the service (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). For microphone access — your consent, which you give in the browser and can withdraw at any time in the browser's site settings.

How long we keep it. Question records are deleted after 12 months. Data in your browser stays until you delete it.

Your rights. You may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability. The "Delete my data" button in the footer erases your local history and the records tied to your session identifier immediately. For anything else write to info@allportugalguide.one. You may also lodge a complaint with the Portuguese data protection authority, CNPD (www.cnpd.pt).

What we do not do. We do not sell your data, and we do not profile you. We use one analytics tool, the Meta pixel, and only after you consent (see the cookie policy).

The service. All Portugal Guide is a free voice assistant that answers questions about Portugal — its history, culture, geography, gastronomy, traditions and everyday life.

Answers are generated by artificial intelligence. They may be incomplete, out of date or simply wrong. They are general information, not legal, tax, immigration, medical or financial advice. Before acting on anything that matters, check the official source: AIMA for residence and nationality, the Autoridade Tributária for tax, SNS 24 for health, and the relevant municipality for local rules.

Availability. The service is provided as is, without warranty. We may change, suspend or discontinue it at any time.

Acceptable use. Do not use the service for unlawful purposes, do not attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer it, and do not automate bulk requests.

Intellectual property. The design, texts and images of this site belong to the operator. The questions you write remain yours.

Law and disputes. Portuguese law applies. For disputes, the courts of Lisbon have jurisdiction, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence.

Essential storage. We use your browser's local storage for: apg-session-id (a random session identifier), apg.conversations.v1 (your conversations, kept only on your device), apg-tts-voice (the voice you chose), and apg-analytics-consent (your cookie choice). If you sign in to the administration area, Supabase stores an authentication token the same way.

Analytics cookies (only with your consent). If you accept analytics, we load the Meta pixel (Meta Platforms Ireland Limited), which sets the cookies _fbp and, if you arrive from a Meta ad, _fbc. We use it to measure how the site is used and how our ads perform. We send only the fact that a page was viewed or a question was asked — never the text of your questions, answers or the language you use. This data may be processed outside the European Union under the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. If you choose "Only essential", no analytics cookies are set. You can withdraw consent at any time via "Cookie settings" in the footer, which deletes these cookies.

How to remove it. Use the "Delete my data" button in the footer, or clear site data in your browser settings.
